@bridge is an AI-native productivity suite — manage your emails, calendars, contacts, notes, and tasks as one, with the AI you choose and the way you work: inside Thunderbird, or from AI desktop clients, IDEs via MCP, or the CLI. Triage, draft, schedule, compose branded emails, capture notes, send, and search — no vendor lock-in, all on your machine. atbridge.ai never routes your data through our servers.

/from, /clashes, /today, /week. Deterministic answers across emails + calendars, no AI tokens spent.Open the @bridge AI Chat right inside Thunderbird, pick the AI of your choice — any provider, or a private local model — and work every mailbox at once: triage, summarise, draft and ask across all your accounts. Skills (/from, /today, /clashes) answer instantly with no AI tokens spent, and Fast Actions turn any reply into a note or an email draft in one click.

Write with AI right in the Thunderbird compose window: turn a rough draft into a polished message, or turn the figures in your draft into a branded HTML email with a real chart — on your saved theme, in one click.

@bridge Notes is a local, AI-native markdown workspace built into Thunderbird: keep folders of .md notes in a real editor with a docked AI Chat. Use as Context hands the open note to the AI; ask it to improve or extend the note, then Save to Notes appends the reply straight back in. Everything stays on your machine.

One click on an open email or note fans it out across the suite — To Note, Extract action items → Tasks, To Calendar Event, To Contact. Fast Actions interconnect your emails, notes, tasks, calendars and contacts, so nothing needs copy-paste.

In VS Code, Cursor, Claude Code — or any IDE that speaks MCP (or runs the CLI)? Drive atbridge from your editor: have your agent compose a branded email and open it in Thunderbird, without leaving your code.

Ask Claude Desktop — or any agent that speaks MCP locally — in plain language. It reads and works your inbox through atbridge, running on your machine; your mail is never routed through our servers.

Any tool that can run a command drives atbridge — your shell, a script, cron, or CI. Search, read, send, forward and schedule mail; JSON in, JSON out, pipe it anywhere. The email primitive your agent stack was missing.
A real notes app inside Thunderbird — Markdown, Mermaid diagrams, LaTeX, and audio notes — that stands on its own and talks to the AI you choose. A private, linked-notes markdown workspace, on your machine, that also happens to know your inbox.
[[links]] that open the target; copy a portable link to any note and paste it anywhere..md files on your own machine — a workspace you own, not a silo you rent.A standalone workspace even on Free (basic editor); the full editor — auto-save, audio transcription, rich chart editing, the docked chat — comes with Personal and Pro.
Emails, calendars, and contacts — your AI gets the same read and write powers you have, not a one-way digest.
Read, send, reply, forward, search, move, delete, and tag across every account. Compose in plain text, HTML, or Markdown.
Create, update, and delete events across your calendars — with cross-calendar clash detection so your AI never double-books you.
Search, create, and update contacts across every address book Thunderbird holds — so "email Maya" just works.
The bridge runs on your machine, listening only on 127.0.0.1 — your mail is never routed through atbridge.ai's servers. A direct action runs locally in ~5 ms — about 20× faster than a cloud round-trip — and ~72% lighter on tokens (≈3.5× cheaper per fetch) than a cloud bridge.
Activate any LLM (large language model) provider right in the Thunderbird extension — OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Mistral, Groq, OpenRouter, NVIDIA and more, or local Ollama. Pick a provider and model in the @bridge panel; your API key is encrypted on-device, sealed by your OS keychain. Or run the model locally with Ollama — private, on-machine AI.
Drive atbridge.ai from wherever you work: the @bridge panel inside Thunderbird, an IDE (Cursor, VS Code, JetBrains, Antigravity), Claude Desktop or any MCP agent, Claude Code, or the terminal — same ops everywhere.
Anything Thunderbird supports: Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, ProtonMail Bridge, FastMail, your company IMAP.
Replies are lean and text-first, so your model processes a fraction of the tokens per task — the LLM bill you already pay drops. (atbridge.ai plans & quotas are separate — see pricing.)
A CLI, JSON I/O, stable schemas, and a built-in MCP server. Drop it into your scripts or agent framework in one command.
Ask your AI for an announcement, a digest, a personal note — get a fully-styled HTML email with your brand colours, your fonts, your signature. Opens in Thunderbird compose for your review before you send.

Just say what you need in plain language. A few ideas to try:
That's a taste — anything you can describe across your emails, calendars and contacts is fair game. Browse the docs for the full picture →
No. atbridge.ai runs as a local process. Your AI talks to it over a localhost socket — not the public internet. We don't operate servers that touch your email. The only thing our servers do is verify your subscription.
Yes, measurably. Because atbridge.ai runs locally, a direct operation — reading a message, listing folders — completes in single-digit milliseconds: about 20× faster than the network round-trip a cloud tool pays before it even starts work. And because it returns plain text instead of full HTML by default, a typical fetch uses about 72% fewer tokens (~3.5× cheaper) with no unsolicited HTML. (Full-text search is a local scan, so we scope the speed claim to direct operations.)
One operation = one action that fetches or changes mail: a search, a list, a send, a reply, a forward, a move, a delete, a contact create/update. Follow-ups that don't fetch new data — opening a message you just listed, reading a thread you already pulled, viewing a contact you searched — do not count. Plan and bridge meta-commands never count.
No — the prices shown are exclusive of VAT. VAT is calculated and added at checkout based on your billing country. EU buyers will see their applicable rate applied automatically by Stripe. You'll see the final amount including VAT before completing payment.
You keep CLI access and 20 operations per month, forever. You lose MCP (so AI agents can no longer call you directly — but the CLI still works). Outbound mail gets a small "Sent with @bridge" footer. Upgrade anytime to remove both.
If you subscribe before Nov 1, 2026, you lock in €4.99 (Personal) or €9.99 (Pro) per month — forever. Stripe never auto-migrates subscribers to a new price, so as long as your subscription stays active, your monthly cost never changes. After Nov 1, the same plans cost €7.99 and €14.99 for new subscribers.
Yes — annual billing opens on Nov 1, 2026 (when the early-bird window ends). Annual works out to two months free vs. paying monthly. Early-bird subscribers stay on monthly billing — the held while subscribed monthly rate is already the best deal we offer.
To install, you run one setup command — about five minutes, with step-by-step instructions. After that you just talk to your AI assistant in plain language. No coding required to use it day to day.
Anything that can run a command or speak MCP: Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, Aider, Ollama, or your own agent. If it can run a shell command, it works.
Yes. Run atbridge.ai with Ollama and a local model — Qwen2.5-14b-instruct, Llama 3, Mistral and others work well. Your AI runs on your machine, so no email content goes to any AI provider — zero cloud AI, zero API keys. (Sending mail still uses your normal mail server, as always.) The trade-off is inference speed — it depends on your hardware. A modern Apple Silicon Mac or a fast GPU makes it practical for everyday use. This is the maximum-privacy configuration.
Our goal is to bring local AI email to as many people as possible, and Thunderbird gives us the widest reach to start: it's free, runs on every platform, works with any inbox via IMAP, and is the only mature email client that's genuinely extensible via open WebExtension APIs. That means one integration, any provider — Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, IMAP — for every user. We're always thinking about how to reach more people.
One machine you've activated your plan on. Free covers 1, Personal covers 2 (e.g. laptop + desktop), Pro covers 5. You can move your plan between machines from your account.
That's up to you. You can have it save everything as drafts for review, or let it send directly. Write access for agents is off by default and you opt in explicitly.
Yes, anytime, from the Stripe customer portal linked in your account. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period.
Give your AI assistant the keys to your inbox — locally, privately, and faster than any cloud bridge.
