# atbridge > Your private AI suite for emails, calendars, contacts, notes & tasks — works with any AI, from Thunderbird, MCP or the CLI, running on your machine. atbridge is a private, AI-native productivity suite built on Thunderbird. It lets you manage **emails, calendars, contacts, notes, and tasks** — across **every mailbox** (Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, self-hosted / IMAP) — with **the AI of your choice**. Supported providers (activated right in Thunderbird): **OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Mistral AI, DeepSeek, Moonshot Kimi, xAI Grok, Groq (Llama), OpenRouter, NVIDIA NIM, Ollama (local — private), and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint (custom URL)**. It's a **multi-model** suite: you can use **different models for different modalities** — one for text, another for images (vision), another for audio (transcription) — and each can be a cloud model or a **fully local, private** one (e.g. via Ollama). There is no vendor lock-in and nothing is routed through atbridge's servers — the app runs locally on your machine, so a cloud model only ever receives what you choose to send it. **Bring your AI subscription** (use your coding-agent CLI as the @bridge AI). Beyond API keys, the @bridge AI Chat can also drive an AI CLI you already have installed — **Claude Code (`claude`)**, **Antigravity (`agy`)**, or **OpenAI Codex (`codex`, uses your ChatGPT subscription)** — as the model behind the chat (distinct from the atbridge CLI/MCP, which is how AGENTS drive atbridge). You sign in to that tool once with your own account; atbridge runs it locally as a subprocess, so there's **no API key to paste and nothing metered** — it uses your existing subscription's own compute (BYO compute). With Claude Code or Codex it can even act on your mailbox through atbridge's own MCP tools (reads + gated writes), sandboxed to a per-conversation workspace. This is a **paid-plan feature** (Personal or Pro; included in the free trial) and appears in the provider list once a paid plan is active. Crucially, everything works **out of the box over MCP and a CLI — not only the Thunderbird GUI** — so the same operations are reachable from Claude Desktop, your IDE, shell scripts, cron/CI, and your own agents, without ever opening Thunderbird. Over MCP or the CLI there is **no provider picker and no model limit at all**: the agent (or script) uses whatever model it already runs — cloud or local — so the only requirement is access to MCP or the CLI. The provider list above applies to the in-Thunderbird @bridge surfaces; the connectors are model-agnostic and unlimited. You can drive atbridge from four surfaces, all backed by one Go binary: - **Inside Thunderbird** — the @bridge AI Chat (with Fast Actions + deterministic Skills), @bridge Email Compose (branded HTML emails with real charts), and @bridge Notes (a local, AI-native markdown workspace — "Plug" a note as live, two-way context so the AI reads it every message AND can edit it in place, like an agent editing an open file, with one-click undo). - **From your IDE** — VS Code, Cursor, JetBrains IDEs (IntelliJ, PyCharm, WebStorm, GoLand, Rider, …), Antigravity, Claude Code, or any MCP client. - **In Claude Desktop** — or any local agent that speaks MCP. - **From the command line** — shell, script, cron, or CI (JSON in, JSON out). For a full, task→result capability walkthrough, see [llms-full.txt](https://atbridge.ai/llms-full.txt). For the complete machine- readable API — every command and every MCP tool as flat plain text (no HTML to parse) — see [llms-cli.txt](https://atbridge.ai/llms-cli.txt) (the CLI) and [llms-mcp.txt](https://atbridge.ai/llms-mcp.txt) (the MCP tools). Both are generated from the live command tree / tool registry, so they never drift. Key facts: - Private by design: runs locally; your mail is never proxied through atbridge. - Works with any AI: 12 providers (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Mistral, DeepSeek, Moonshot Kimi, xAI Grok, Groq, OpenRouter, NVIDIA NIM, Ollama, OpenAI-compatible), cloud or fully local; multi-model (separate text / image / audio models); no lock-in. - Bring your AI subscription: drive an AI CLI you already run — **Claude Code**, **Antigravity**, or **OpenAI Codex** (your ChatGPT subscription) — as the @bridge AI, with no API key and nothing metered (BYO compute); Claude Code and Codex can act on your mailbox via atbridge's MCP tools (reads + gated writes). Paid plans (Personal / Pro); included in the trial. - @bridge Notes — a full local **markdown notes editor** and workspace, strong enough to be its own product in the suite: a file-tree vault of `.md` notes with a live WYSIWYG editor, tables, images, and **voice notes** (recorded in-app, transcribed by your AI). It's tightly **interwoven with the @bridge AI Chat** — capture any chat reply or email into a note in one click, and "Plug" a note as **live, two-way context** so the AI both reads it every message AND edits it in place (like an agent editing an open file, one-click undo). Your notes stay plain `.md` files on your machine. - Fast and cheap vs. cloud MCP bridges: measured ~20× faster per direct operation (single-digit ms vs. a ~110 ms cloud round-trip) and ~3.5× cheaper per fetch (72% fewer input tokens), with no unsolicited HTML. - Plans: Free, Personal, and Pro (early-bird from EUR 4.99/mo); a 14-day trial, no card required. Enterprise available for teams. - Platforms: macOS, Linux, Windows. Requires Thunderbird 128+. ## Languages - **App UI (the Thunderbird @bridge extension): 23 languages** — English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Dutch, Turkish, Czech, Korean, Galician, Catalan, Basque, Simplified Chinese, Romanian, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Greek, and Hungarian. The whole interface (AI Chat, Compose, Notes, Fast Actions, settings) is fully translated and follows Thunderbird's UI language; choose it in @bridge settings. - **Website, documentation & account dashboard: 10 languages** — English plus Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Polish, Czech, and Turkish. Localised marketing lives at https://atbridge.ai/es/ (and /de/, /fr/, /it/, /pt/, /ja/, /pl/, /cs/, /tr/), the docs at https://atbridge.ai/docs/es/ (…/docs/de/, etc.), and the signed-in account dashboard follows your account language. All localised pages carry hreflang. - **Transactional email** is sent in English or Spanish, matching your account language; other languages fall back to English. ## Pages - [Home](https://atbridge.ai/): what atbridge is, who it's for, how it works. - [Pricing](https://atbridge.ai/pricing): Free / Personal / Pro / Enterprise, EUR pricing. - [Download](https://atbridge.ai/download/): install the app + Thunderbird add-on in two minutes (macOS/Linux/Windows).
